Spiderlizard by Track-Maidens Spiderlizard by Track-Maidens
Mwanza flat-headed agama... aka spiderlizard! Spiderlizard, spiderlizard, does whatever... yeah, I'm done. Cool critter XD

You can use this dude as stock or ref (maybe your elf swamp mage needs a companion *snickers*) - just read and follow the journal rules. Thanks. :D

This is a great shot, but tell me, did you do anything to the full size view? Like put a texture on it or over sharpen it? When I download the full size the shot looks like its been manipped or had an effect applied :(

O.o Weird. Can you tell me exactly what the problem is?
Sometimes I fix the contrast and levels of photos if they look overly grey - I may have done that, since this photo was taken in the evening. I also may have cropped/blown it up (I actually don't remember - this is from a folder with hundreds of unedited and lightly edited photos from my trip to Tanzania). I suspect it just looks like that because it's a bit fuzzy. This camera has a tendency to make what would ordinarily look pixelated look sort of wavy, as if it were in the heat. The entire lizard is out of focus here, which is part of the reason it's a stock photo. I can promise you that no textures or Photoshop filters were applied, though.

Would you like me to see if I can find an the 'original' photo of the lizard, if there is one? I'd be happy to do that, since I feel that my integrity as a stock/almost-photographer could be damaged if everyone thinks I'm just throwing up manipulations all over.

Heh its a bit odd to try and explain I was thinking maybe my browser just didn't download all the image data properly. You kinda explained it with the "This camera has a tendency to make what would ordinarily look pixelated look sort of wavy, as if it were in the heat." That mostly explains what I'm seeing  I popped a screenie here for you to compare in case its my browser not your stock lol [link]

Yeah, that's just because it's out of focus. I must have cropped and blown this one up. I'll link an extreme case of that to you... [link] <-- here's one I tried to fix. This one was taken from something like a half mile away. The day was really sunny, but still, when I cropped and blew it up, it turned into a grain-fest. And yes, it IS the photo, not your browser.

:noes: I know digital cameras are prone to getting the purple/green fringing but I'd not seen anything quite like this effect. Strangeness! The joys of taking photography, looks good on the back of your camera, stick it on the computer and you wonder what the hell it was you were trying to focus on lol

Yeah, neither had I! O.o It's very weird. Pretty consistent in how it happens, though. Maybe it's something I'm doing... I'm not all that camera savvy. :noes: I'll have to read the manual, for once haha
