Sometimes I fix the contrast and levels of photos if they look overly grey - I may have done that, since this photo was taken in the evening. I also may have cropped/blown it up (I actually don't remember - this is from a folder with hundreds of unedited and lightly edited photos from my trip to Tanzania). I suspect it just looks like that because it's a bit fuzzy. This camera has a tendency to make what would ordinarily look pixelated look sort of wavy, as if it were in the heat. The entire lizard is out of focus here, which is part of the reason it's a stock photo. I can promise you that no textures or Photoshop filters were applied, though.
Would you like me to see if I can find an the 'original' photo of the lizard, if there is one? I'd be happy to do that, since I feel that my integrity as a stock/almost-photographer could be damaged if everyone thinks I'm just throwing up manipulations all over.
